The Lower Zambezi Valley is renowned for its breath-taking views and for the abundance of wildlife that lives along the shores of the Zambezi River. This valley hosts both the Lower Zambezi National Park (on the Zambian shores) and Mana Pools National Park (on the Zimbabwean shores) creating a vast protected area where animals are free to roam without boundaries. This area deserves to be visited both by river and by land in order to fully understand the wild beauty of this place. Lower Zambezi National Park is the most recent park in Zambia and one of the wildest and most picturesque in the whole Africa.

Day 1: Lusaka

Upon arrival at Lusaka international airport, you will be assisted in final preparations (local SIM card, forex, etc.) before your Safari starts. Transfer to a good level lodge. Dinner in Lusaka not included.

Days 2-4: Lower Zambezi Valley -  Canoeing safari

The Lower Zambezi Valley is renowned for its breath-taking views and for the abundance of wildlife that lives along the shores of the Zambezi River. This valley hosts both the Lower Zambezi National Park (on the Zambian shores) and Mana Pools National Park (on the Zimbabwean shores) creating a vast protected area where animals are free to roam without boundaries.

This area deserves to be visited both by river and by land in order to fully understand the wild beauty of this place. Lower Zambezi National Park is the most recent park in Zambia and one of the wildest and most picturesque in the whole Africa.

The visit to the Lower Zambezi Valley includes one sunset Boat Safari on the first day of arrival, followed by a 2 days and 2 nights canoeing safari on the Zambezi River. Nights will be spent wild camping on the islands of the Zambezi in unfenced areas without electricity nor running water. Luggage, camping gear and mobile kitchen will be brought by the support motor-boat.

Days 5-7: Lower Zambezi National Park

At the end of the canoeing safari, you will meet with your vehicle and proceed by land to the Lower Zambezi National Park. The first day, you will check in at Munyemeshi River Lodge and you will have time to relax by the river following the 2 days of canoeing. On days 6 and 7 you will enjoy a full day Game drive with packed lunch and pic-nic inside the national park returning at the lodge by sunset.
Nights will be at Munyemeshi Lodge in a chalet and all meals will be prepared by the accompanying Chef.

Day 8: Lusaka

Return transfer to Lusaka, where we plan to arrive by lunch time. Own arrangements for lunch and check in a good level lodge for the night in a chalet and farewell dinner to Zambia.

Based on your return flight, you will be transferred to the airport. End of arrangements.
