Experience Vietnam at its most quintessential on a comprehensive 15-day sightseeing tour that also includes a tour of the Angkor Wat complex in Cambodia. Traveling from north to south, you will take a junk cruise around Ha Long Bay, catch the Reunification Express to Hoi An, spend the night at a homestay in Saigon, visit floating markets and villages, learn how silk is made, and much more.

Day 1: Arrival Ha Noi
Upon arrival, your guide will meet you at Ha Noi Airport and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Ha Noi — Ha Long Bay (B, L, D)
Depart for Ha Long Bay, driving through the scenic Red River Delta. Board your traditional junk boat for a 5-hour cruise among more than 3,000 islands, islets and weathered limestone rocks rising from the emerald water. Anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove, and explore some of the many grottoes hidden beneath the towering cliffs.

Day 3: Ha Long — Ha Noi (B, L)
After breakfast, enjoy a free morning swimming and sunbathing among the rocks of Ha Long. Return to Ha Noi after lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4: Ha Noi City Tour — Da Nang (B)
Today you will take a half-day city tour of Ha Noi, exploring the ochre-colored colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards, and scenic lakes. Visit heritage sites, such as the Temple of Literature, which was the first imperial school in Vietnam. You will also go to Hoan Kiem Lake, one of the most scenic spots in the city to see the 18th-century Ngoc Son Temple on Jade Island, Huc Bridge to Dac Nguyet Lau (Moon Light Tower), and more.

Next, take a cyclo (pedicab) ride around the 36 meandering streets of the Old Quarter to enjoy the bustle of local life. Transfer to the train station to catch the overnight Reunification Express to Da Nang, sleeping in soft berths with 4 berths per cabin.

Day 5: Arrive Da Nang — Hoi An
Upon arrival at Da Nang station in the morning, a local guide will meet you for the transfer to Hoi An, where an early check-in is possible, subject to availability. Spend the rest of the day at leisure getting orientated in the city.

Day 6: Hoi An — My Son Sanctuary (B, L)
Today you will visit one of the most stunning sights in the Hoi An area on a tour of My Son, Vietnam’s most important site of the ancient kingdom of Champa. Originally built out of wood, the temples were completely destroyed by fire in the 6th century, then restored in the 7th century by Sambhuvarman from locally made bricks. Return to your Hoi An accommodation for the night.

Day 7: Hoi An — Countryside Bike Tour (B)
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day bike tour to explore the rural life of the city, soaking up the stunning landscapes. Next, transfer for a boat ride to Cam Kim Commune, where you will discover the carpentry village of Kim Bong. Watch local farmers plant and dry sedges for making weaving mats, and stop to see where the unique round fishing boats made from basket are built. Return to Hoi An for your overnight stay.

Day 8: Hoi An (B)
Today is a free full-day for you to relax or wander the UNESCO World Heritage city on your own. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 9: Hoi An (B)
Enjoy a second day at leisure. You can visit city museums, such as the Museum of Trade Ceramics or Museum of Sa Huỳnh Culture, wander the riverfront, or pop into local shops to find unique souvenirs. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 10: Hoi An — Marble Mountain — Ho Chi Minh City (B)
Start today with a tour of Marble Mountain in Da Nang, where stone steps carved into the mountain lead to a Buddhist Pagoda. Discover stunning caves along the way, and enjoy the panoramic views of Da Nang village from the mountain top.

Later, you will transfer to the airport to catch a flight to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), where a guide will meet you on arrival and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City — Mekong Delta (B, L)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before a scenic drive from Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta. Here, you will cruise the waterways by boat, stopping to explore the bustling Cai Be Floating Market. Watch the locals trading all manner of local produce from their small boats, before a traditional lunch at a village home. Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City for your overnight stay.

Day 12: Saigon Locals and Homestay (B, L, D)
Learn about everyday life in Vietnam and see a side to the country that few get to explore. You will start with a stop at a local school to spend time observing Vietnamese students at the start of their day. Get an insight into the Vietnamese education system. Continue your journey to a famous and very special temple, before a walk to a local market. Soak up the lively atmosphere as merchants sell their meats, fish, vegetables, and flowers.

Wander down tiny streets that cars can’t access to get a glimpse of authentic Vietnam. Then, drive to a typcial local house where you can help cook a traditional lunch. Afterwards, head to a massage parlor, where a range of services, such as a facial massage, manicure, pedicure, or just a hair wash are available. Return to Saigon for an overnight stay in a local homestay.

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City — Siem Reap — Floating Village (B)
Enjoy breakfast with your local family before a transfer to the airport to catch the morning flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, a driver and guide will meet you for the short transfer to your hotel. Check in and enjoy lunch at leisure, before visiting one of Siem Reap’s floating villages. Next, go to the Silk Farm of Artisans d’Angkor to learn how silk is cultivated from the mulberry bushes. Return to Siem Reap for an evening at leisure.

Day 14: Angkor Temples (B, L)
Rise early to take a sunrise tour of the Khmer temples of Angkor Wat. Explore the shrouded temples that date back to the first half of the 12th century. Constructed by King Suryavarman II, this magnificent masterpiece was once the largest religious monument in the world. Admire its perfect balance and proportion, and see some of the finest reliefs and sculptures in the world.

Transfer after lunch to the lesser-explored and largely unrestored Preah Kahn Temple, built on the site of Jayavarman VII's victory over the invading Chams in 1191. See stunning carvings of the garuda and naga deities, and the ruins of the old library.

Continue to the temple of Ta Prohm, one of the most photographed within the Angkor complex due to the distinctive trees growing out of the ruins. Return to Siem Reap, with the option to watch the sunset at Sras Srang, the Royal Bathing Pool of the former Kings of Angkor. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 15: Siem Reap — Departure (B)
After breakfast, you will have some last minute time at leisure before the transfer to Siem Reap to catch your onward flight.t
