Day 1: Ha Noi – Cuc Phuong National Park
We will drive to Cuc Phuong National Park (officially opened in 1960 as the first national park in Vietnam) to visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation, breeding, research, and conservation of endangered primates as well as protection of their habitats. After lunch, depart to the Park Center and on the way visit the Cave of Early Man (had over 7000 year). We will start on a long trek through the forest to learn about the diverse floras and faunas of the park. We will also make stops at Cho Chi, the oldest tree in the forest, as well as visit the picturesque streams and waterfalls. Overnight at guesthouse in Cuc Phuong National Park. (LD)
Day 2: Cuc Phuong National Park — Tam Coc (Three Caves) – Ha Noi
After breakfast, we will head to Tam Coc known to travelers as Vietnam’s “The Dry Ha Long Bay”. Let’s start with an exciting day highlighted by 2 hours of local boat ride in Tam Coc stream where we will enjoy the spectacular scenery while gliding along the river among rice paddies and ranges of limestone mountains peaking up towers above you. After a local food lunch served at a restaurant riverside, we will take a short transfer through the peaceful country road to Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital 11 centuries ago. Here, stand two temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le. Back in Ha Noi. (BL)
