Lion Habitat Ranch: General Admission, Private Tour or Lion Tamer For a Day

Get an up-close look at more than 40 lions and their cubs during a self-guided tour of the Lion Habitat Ranch near Las Vegas. Want more action? You have the option to learn how to safely hand-feed, bathe or train the majestic cats like a lion tamer. For an even more behind-the-scenes look, upgrade to a private tour around the ranch, where you can watch lions as they learn marks, play and devour their meals. If you choose one of these upgrades, you’ll receive a keepsake T-shirt.

Your up-close feline encounter begins when you enter the Lion Habitat Ranch near Las Vegas, the 8.5-acre (3.4-hectare) home to cats that previously worked at the MGM Lion Habitat. Since the early 1990s, the sanctuary has been the residence of more than 40 lions and their adorable cubs. The ranch staff provides care to the big cats for the rest of their natural lives, and donates a portion of proceeds to wild lion habitats. Stroll along the paved paths for unobstructed views of the giant cats lounging, playing and napping in their habitats. You also have the option of choosing one of the following upgrades to enhance your experience.

Private Small-Group Tour
If you would like to observe the hunters from a different vantage point, choose a private tour. Limited to ten people, professional trainers answer any burning questions about raising and taming lions during an interactive Q&A. After you’ve learned about the inner workings of the sanctuary, explore the grounds on a guided tour. Watch as kings of the jungle and their cubs feed, train, and bathe.

Lion Tamer Experience
To elevate your lion encounter, upgrade to the lion tamer experience, which gives greater one-on-one interaction with the regal felines to participants aged 18 years or older. During the 3- to 4-hour immersion program, safely feed lions from your hand, give water, bathe a giant cat, clean a house and yard and train the lion to meet its mark, just like in the movies!
