Your Hot Air Balloon adventure begins when you meet your Pilot and Flight Crew. The flights meet approximately a 1/2 hour before sunrise.
At the launch site, your flight crew will brief you on your upcoming balloon adventure. Then, you will watch with awe as your balloon takes shape before your eyes, ultimately standing more than 10 stories tall. Once fully inflated and ready for take off, you climb into the gondola and begin the adventure of a lifetime.
During your flight you will get a spectacular bird's eye view of the gorgeous Red Rock Mountains and the famous Las Vegas Strip. You will drift silently over the city and countryside where you will watch for wildlife and talk with envious onlookers down below. After drifting serenely for approximately an hour we prepare for landing.
Once on the ground, we share in the oldest of ballooning traditions, a champagne toast, and revel in the peace, tranquility and beauty that you never before knew existed.
For ballooning we require light winds, good visibility and no precipitation. We fly at approximately 1000 feet. The flights can be 45 minutes in length, however we do require you for up to 4 hours in total for the entire adventure.
Since we fly with the prevailing winds, our flight patterns and landing sites vary due to the changing wind directions. There is very little feeling of movement or sensation of height.
Due to insurance restrictions we cannot accept passengers under the age of 10, women who are / or may be pregnant, or those with heart, back or knee problems. If you have any questions about these restrictions please discuss them with one of our Customer Service Representatives.
Private chartered flights are also available. Please ask for details on how we can make your special day even more memorable.
Should your flight be cancelled by Vegas Balloon Rides due to inclement weather conditions, you simply will need to call our office (You have received the number after booking) and reschedule your flight.
Meeting Location: For passengers that choose to rendezvous at the meeting location we typically meet at approx between 5am and 7am. We meet at the Starbucks located at 6105 S. Fort Apache Road in the southwest part of the valley. Driving directions can be found by calling our office (you receive the number after the booking).
Hotel Shuttle: Vegas Balloon Rides offers an optional hotel shuttle service. Please be sure to inform our customer service representative if you require a hotel shuttle at the time of booking.
Waiver: A signed copy of our standard “Waiver and Liability Exclusion Agreement” must be provided to your pilot before flying. Although hot air ballooning is a safe activity, accidents, incidents and injury can occur. We want to make sure that you understand that there is always a chance of potential injury, damage to personal property or perhaps death in an extreme situation.
This document will be sent to you after the booking is confirmed.
Our safety record, and that of hot air ballooning is exceptional with hundreds of thousands of passengers taking flight safely around the world every year.
Passenger Limitations: Passengers must be in good physical condition due to the possibility of a rough landing. All passengers must be able to climb in and out of the basket, stand for the entire flight and walk out of a field if necessary. We cannot fly any passenger who has had recent surgery, injuries, hip, back or knee problems, health concerns, physical limitations, is/or may be pregnant or has severe auditory restrictions. Please note: Children must be a minimum of 10 years of age and accompanied by an adult. Your safety is our main concern. If you are concerned with health or safety issues, please consult with your physician or call our office to discuss the individual situation.
Clothing Suggestions: Dress as you would normally. Wear layers. It can be quite cool in the early morning and can quickly heat up as the sun rises higher. Wear comfortable and sensible footwear. The fields can be quite rough and appropriate footwear will make your flight more comfortable. No open toed shoes, heels or sandals please. As you will be climbing in to and out of the basket, we suggest you wear comfortable, casual clothing. It is recommended that you wear a hat, as the residual heat from the burners can make those who are sensitive to heat mildly uncomfortable.
Other: Family and friends are always welcome to come out and watch your ballooning adventure. It is sometimes, as much fun watching someone you know “Walk the Winds”. Please note – it is not a requirement to have someone follow you during your flight. Our ground crew takes care of the transportation of passengers from our landing location. They will return all passengers to the original meeting location.
While gratuities are not required, they are certainly appreciated by the Pilot and/or Crew. If you enjoyed the experience and were well taken care of, please feel comfortable offering a kind word or a gratuity for a job well done.
The rate you see at the moment is a «Super Saver» Special Offer and is only applicable for tours held from 2012 until end of 2013. The bookings have to be made until 31. December 2012 to receive the Special Offer!
