Hop On Hop Off Golden Gate Park Tour and Academy of Sciences

The Park Tour departs from Union Square, heading towards Civic Center with its impressive City Hall and the Asian Art Museum, before we pass the Opera House and the San Francisco Symphony. On our way to the Park we drive along Hayes Street where you can find countless shopping opportunities and restaurants. The bus then heads into the beautiful Golden Gate Park which is one of the world’s largest man-made havens! It covers over 1,000 acres of San Francisco’s downtown and ranges more than 50 city blocks.

Within the park, you can visit such renowned attractions as the De Young Museum, the Japanese Tea Gardens, the Conservatory of Flowers, and the multi-million dollar California Academy of Sciences which features an aquarium, a planetarium, a natural history museum and a lot more - all under one “living” roof. On our return from Golden Gate Park, we visit Alamo Square, home to the world famous "Painted Ladies" Victorian houses and we will head through San Francisco’s Japan Town, passing St. Mary's Cathedral, before returning to the shopping area at Union Square.

Guests will also get admission to California Academy of Sciences. Home to an aquarium, planetarium, natural history museum, and world-class research and education programs, the California Academy of Sciences is one of San Francisco's must-see destinations. From the splashing penguins in African Hall to the wildflowers on the roof, the building is bursting with life. A four-story living rainforest and awe-inspiring coral reef ecosystem will delight visitors of all ages, while immersive space shows will transport audiences beyond the boundaries of our planet.

Start or opening time: June – September daily at 10:00am, 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, and 4:00PM from Union Square (right across from Macy’s). In October – May Departs daily at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 2:00 PM from Union Square (right across from Macy’s). California Academy of Science is open from Monday – Saturday from 9:30am to 5:00pm and on Sunday from 11:00am to 5:00pm.
