Fly over the Grand Canyon and enjoy a bird’s-eye view of this natural wonder as soar high above the West Rim in the comfort of a light aeroplane. Alight and enjoy more than two hours of sightseeing and a barbecue at Guano Point. This tour of about six hours from hotel to hotel is the ultimate Grand Canyon flying visit.
The West Rim of the Grand Canyon is renowned for its spectacular red rock formations and a number of outstanding features that have made it one of the most popular areas. Among the many landmarks are Eagle Point, Guano Point and a village where members of the Hualapai Native American tribe still live in their ancestral lands.
After flying over the West Rim, land at the local airport and be shuttled over to Guano Point. Explore the area and feast on a Native American-style barbecue. An optional extra is the Skywalk, a horseshoe-shaped, glass-bottomed viewing platform from which you can look down hundreds of metres below to the bottom of the canyon. It extends out more than 20 metres (70ft) from land, giving you the sensation of floating on air.
Carved as deep as 1.6km (1 mile) into the earth by a 446km-long (277 miles) stretch of the Colorado River, the Grand Canyon is up to 29km (18 miles) wide at some points. Its true breath and scale can only be fully appreciated from the sky. Come along for what promises to be a spellbinding and unforgettable flight.
