City Sightseeing San Francisco - Golden Gate Bridge & Sausalito Loop hop on hop of tour

Discover plenty of things to do in San Francisco — with City Sightseeing

Take advantage of our Golden Gate Loop, Golden Gate Park Loop, Night Loop and our Down Town Loop for the best way of seeing San Francisco. The city's rich history includes the fort, which was established in 1776 by the Spanish at the Golden Gate and a mission named for Francis of Assisi on the site; the destruction of much of the city by the 1906 earthquake and fire and its hosting of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition after it was rebuilt, several years later. Today, San Francisco is a popular destination renowned for its steep rolling hills, eclectic mix of Victorian and modern architecture and its famous landmarks which include the Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars, and Chinatown. Discover this abounding destination from the top of an English Double-Decker bus!

So many things to do on your tour

Your 48 hour tour ticket will ensure that you have plenty of time to see the most popular attractions. The fully narrated tour with a friendly guide on board departs frequently throughout the day and passes most of the major attractions in San Francisco. The city's restaurants and museums are world class and the mild climate makes touring from an open top Double-Decker bus a pleasure at any time of year. Don't miss the Golden Gate Bridge and a trip to Alcatraz Island. Ride a cable car, spend an afternoon in the alleys of San Francisco's Chinatown (the largest outside Asia) and enjoy an evening in North Beach — the Italian District.

City Sightseeing San Francisco: endless things to do and see

In a city with a multitude, if there is one classic San Francisco view — it is the vista across the Bay from Pacific Heights and the northern waterfront. The presence of the Golden Gate Bridge sets this view apart from all others. Why not take a stroll around San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art which includes works by artists as varied as René Magritte, Jeff Koons, Piet Mondrian and Marcel Duchamp? Or perhaps pay a visit to the Great American Music Hall, the Financial District, the Civic Center or Fisherman's Wharf. A tour on one of our bright red City Sightseeing buses will enable you to do all of this and more.

Golden Gate Loop will be Hop-on Hop-Off starting March 2009

Multiple departures daily year round. Extension to Sausalito alternates every other hour.
Take the Golden Gate Loop and visit one of the world's most famous landmarks on our original Open Top Double-Decker bus or on one of our Open-Top Sightseeing buses, both with live narration from our professional tour guides.

The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and departs from our Fisherman's Wharf location and heads to the Palace of Fine Arts for a brief photo stop. From here we head towards the Golden Gate Bridge, passing Crissy Fields and then crossing the 1.7 mile span of the Golden Gate Bridge. The bus will stop at the North Vista Point for a 10 minute photo stop where you can get great pictures of Alcatraz and the San Francisco skyline. At this point, if you are traveling on an open-top sightseeing bus, the tour continues into the scenic, coastal town of Sausalito.

From Vista Point, the bus will go back across the Golden Gate Bridge and explore the Presidio National Park and the mansions of Pacific Heights. The bus will then return you to our Fisherman's Wharf location where you can join one of our many other tours.
