Travel from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon aboard an executive-style light aeroplane and on arrival at the South Rim, transfer to a helicopter for a 25-minute ride that will soar over the canyon for a 90km (55 miles) stretch. Fly over the Hindu Amphitheatre and see the Temple of Ra, which stands more than 1,800 metres (6,000ft) high. Continue into the Dragon Corridor and then over the beautiful Kaibab National Forest, home to the world's largest Ponderosa pines, which have been known to grow to heights beyond 70 metres. Then meet the ‘maker’ of the Grand Canyon: the mighty Colorado River, which over billions of years carved the gorge deep as 1.6km (1 mile) into the earth.

After the helicopter ride, you have time to briefly catch your breath back before bring brought to the Grand Canyon National Park to enjoy awe-inspiring vistas, panoramic vantage points and trails that can be accessed only by foot from inside the national park. Enjoy the magnificence of the Grand Canyon with a gourmet box lunch at Bright Angel Lodge and maybe then browse the souvenir shops.
