St Andrews & The Kingdom of Fife (Scotland)

St Andrews is famed throughout the World as being the home of Golf, however there is much more to explore in this delightful town, as we will discover on this enjoyable excursion.Departing from Edinburgh we will soon be crossing the Firth of Forth by the graceful Forth Road Bridge and journey into the Kingdom of Fife.  There is a stop in the delightful village of Falkland where we will step back in time when we visit this traditional Scottish village and explore Falkland Palace, the country residence of the Stuart Kings and Queens.The gardens contain the Royal Tennis Court which dates from 1539 and are the oldest in Britain! You can explore the many attractions from the ruins of the 13th Century castle to Scotland’s oldest university. Also you can visit the British Golf Museum.The remainder of the afternoon will be spent discovering the picturesque fishing villages of the East Neuk of Fife as we meander our way back to Edinburgh.
