The action-packed programme will celebrate Our Home, Friends and Family. As Scotlad prepares to welcome the world as part of Homecoming, the Commonwealth Games and the Ryder Cup, hundreds of Commonwealth participants are set to play a part in the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

There will also be appearances from the Massed Pipers and Drums, and the Bands of Her Majesty's Royal Marines, cultural troupes, singers and the Lone Piper. On a Saturday, the Edinburgh Tattoo is followed by a spectacular fireworks display over the city.
