From Here to Eternity is set on the Hawaiian island of Oahu in 1941, before and during the attack on Pearl Harbor. Based on the wartime experiences of James Jones, the story follows several members of a military company, including Captain Dana ‘Dynamite’ Holmes, First Sergeant Milt Warden and troubled soul Private Robert Prewitt.

When Prewitt falls for the gentle Lorene and when his platoon sergeant, Warden, embarks on an affair with the wife of their overall commanding officer, both men’s destinies are set on a course beyond their control. As war approaches, the lives of the four lovers and the soldiers of G Company are dramatically ripped apart. This gripping tale of clandestine love and army life is a spellbinding and romantic show that has all the hallmarks of a great musical.
