Wonderful Windsor is the setting for one of the most picturesque cycling tours out of London. Enjoy a gentle Thames valley ride on a classic English bike, admire historic Tudor mansions, explore eternal Eton and tour the vast castle complex, including the stunning St George’s Chapel.
Travel by train to beautiful Buckinghamshire and hop on an old-style bike complete with wicker basket and bell. Cycle along scenic country lanes and the banks of the Jubilee River before pausing for refreshments at Dorney Court, a Tudor mansion. Pass the Olympic rowing lake, before reaching the Thames and continue till reaching a scenic spot where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Windsor Castle.
Explore the area around the world famous Eton College, which was founded almost six centuries ago by Henry VI. See the Queen's bank, the chapel and the college itself, the alma matter of no fewer than 19 British prime ministers. Enjoy a traditional pub lunch to refuel before taking a short walking tour of Windsor town, seeing sights such as the Guildhall and the Crooked House.
Save the best for last with a tour of the castle. Admire the beautifully intricate Queen Anne's doll house (the largest in the world), see the final resting place of Henry VIII in St George's Chapel and visit some of the ornate apartments used by the Queen of England when entertaining in her favourite castle. Return to London by train.
