Trip to Chernobyl and Pripyat lasts all day. The price includes: bus ride from Kiev to the location and back, an English-speaking guide and lunch at Chernobyl.
Tour participants must have: long pants, shirt or jacket with long sleeves, a passport.
Framework for the excursion program:
- 8:30 — 9:00 Meeting at the designated location in the center of Kiev, followed by checking passports, clothes, etc.
- 9:00 — 11:00 Drive to Chernobyl through the checkpoint Dietatki (on the border of the zone)
- Entrance to the Zone and meeting with a representative of the organization ChernobylInterInfo
- Arrival in Chernobyl, briefing on the rules of the restricted zone
- Sightseeing: monument to “those who saved the world", a place of storage of robots and vehicles used to clean radioactive contamination
- The entrance to the 10 km zone through the checkpoint Leliv
- On the way to the power station visit the almost completely destroyed village Kopachi
- Stop by the cooling channels
- Stop next sarcophagus of the reactor number 4 (distance: 300 meters)
- Stop near the Red Forest (ukr. Рудий ліс), regarded as one of the most radioactively contaminated place in the world
- Explore the city of Pripyat: Lenin Avenue, former cultural centre, Polissia hotel, shopping mall, amusement park, stadium, school swimming pool and hospital
- Lunch — all products are brought in from outside the area, vegetarian meals available upon request
- Optional tour of the village Paryshyv, and a meeting with the residents
- Back through the checkpoint Dietatki, mandatory radiation check.
- 18:00 – 19:00 way back to Kiev
