Park of Glory + Motherland

This tour is dedicated to military issues, in particular the Great Patriotic War. During the tour you will visit the Park of Glory — the memorial complex, situated on the slopes of the Dnieper. From here a beautiful view on the left bank of Kyiv. The heart of the park is a 26 — meter high obelisk — monument of the Unknown Soldier, established in 1957. Most recently, in 2008, the park opened another famous monument — Monument to victims of Holodomor of 1932-33.

Then you will walk to the magnificent monument «Motherland», holding a sword and shield. This is the Museum of the Great Patriotic War, which is located on a high hill, clearly visible from almost all parts of the city. Before the open-air museum you will see exhibits of Soviet tanks, which were used during the Second World War and in the post-war years, as well as other vehicles, and artillery. Very exciting to see for tank «Stalin» T-34 — one of the most famous Soviet tanks during World War II.
