The trip starts in the old town Zolochiv which used to be called Radeche. Here there are interesting medieval churches and defense facilities of the 14th century. However, the most valuable is a castle that is a real fortress of the 17th century. High soil and stone walls are the evident features of Dutch engineering system in this area.
Then a sloping pavement road shows us the way to the village Pidhirtsi. Due to the order of hetman Stanislav Konecpolski French architects built a palace ensemble of extraordinary beauty here. It was considered to be one of the best in the whole Europe.
Afterwards we visit Annunciation monastery with its cave churches, which is situated on the territory of old Slavic town Plisneska (7th – 13th century) and is much older than a castle itself (1180 AD). Due to the easy to moderate steady slope down from the Podillia Highland to Olesko, we visit one of the most popular castles in Lviv region of the 14th century and the Capucine monastery of the 18th century. The trip comes to its end before the railway station to Ozhydiv or Krasne.
