Jewish Kyiv- Everything's Illuminated

During the tour we will explore Jewish Kiev life of the past and today, with a visit to two major Synagogues, and the Great Kiev Community Center. We will also pay respects at the Babi Yar Memorial, site of the Nazi massacre of Kiev Jewry, and movingly commemorated by world-renowned Russian poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko, who identified with the sufferings of the Jewish people. We'll see Golda Meier memorial plaque on the house where she used to live with her family and the monument to the great Yiddish writer, Sholom Aleichem — author of «Fiddler on the Roof» as well as many other bittersweet tales of Ukrainian shtetl life.
Jewish tour is a great option to know the history of Jewish community in Kiev as well as to know the names of great Jewish people that contributed to the history of the city.
