Day 1: Arrival - Transfer to Murchison Falls
On arrival in Entebbe Airport, you will be received by a representative and driver / Safari Guide from Africa Nature Trekkers who will lead to your booked accommodation. Very early in the morning you will have breakfast and then transfer to Murchison NP. The drive will take you about 6 hours reaching the park in the afternoon. You will check in your lodge and then go for the boat ride on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls from which the park was named. The launch cruise will reward you with water animals like crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes and many birds. Overnight at Paraa safari lodge / Sambiya river lodge/ Red chilies camp.
Day 2: Adventure Activities In Murchison Falls NP
Game Drives:
You will start the day with an early morning game drive starting at about 6 to7am is preferred as most animals are still sleepy and less shy. Game drives are mostly done in the northern section of the park for it is endowed with more game than the south.
Boat Cruise:
Afternoon at 2.00pm is the most preferred time for the boat ride when lots of animals come to the river to cool off the heat, eat fresh grass and drink in the river. It will take you up to the base of the gushing Murchison Falls.
Top of the Falls Hike:
If time allows you will also hike to the top of the cliff close to the narrow gorge watch how the calm Nile is transformed into a thunderous roar of white water to fall deep down forming the falls. The scenery is also perfect for a group safari photograph. Later after taking a few photographs you will drive back to Kampala to reach in the evening ready to catch your departure flight.
