The park lies astride the Equator in the Albertine Rift Valley in south west Uganda, bordered by the Democratic Republic of Congo in the west. It is situated between two big lakes: Lake George (NE) and Lake Edward (SW), and the two lakes are joined by the 33 km long Kazinga channel which bisects the park. To the north of the park are the impressive crater lakes and to the south is the Maramagambo forest and Ishasha sector, famous for tree climbing lions. The park has been declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO hence acknowledging it as a key component in the world's ecosystem. The area covered is 1978 sq km of flat and gentle terrain with many diverse habitats. These habitats are a home to: 95 species of mammals, 600 species of birds, primates, reptiles (crocodiles, rock python, snakes, monitor lizards), amphibians and fish.

Days 1-3
Queen Elizabeth National Park
We offer a three day tour of Queen Elizabeth National Park Day One Drive to Queen Elizabeth have a stop at the equator for pictures and souvenirs, continue and have lunch in Mbarara, proceed to Maramagambo forest for a guided walk to the bat cave followed by an afternoon game drive along the Kazinga channel, spotting game en route to the lodge. Check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Day Two Take an early game drive (6:30 am), look for buffaloes, elephants, spotted hyenas, prides of lions, kobs, waterbucks and birds. Come back in time for breakfast, relax by the swimming pool overlooking the Kazinga channel. After lunch at 3:00 pm, take a launch trip to explore the Kazinga Channel. Here you will see buffaloes close to the water, scores of hippos, and the birdlife here is fabulous. You will see dozens of pied kingfishers, bee–eaters, skimmers, pelicans, storks, etc. Return to the lodge by 5:00 p.m Day Three Return to Entebbe or Kampala.
