Day 1, Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our Company representative who will drive you to your hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight at Kampala Serena Hotel/Ministers Village Hotel/Hotel Rutch/Imperial Royale/Cassia Lodge.
Day 2, Kampala City Tour
After breakfast, you will set out for the whole day Kampala city tour. Visit interesting places like the Uganda Museum which will give you more insights of the cultural heritage and the historical architecture of the ancient tribes within Uganda, Kasubi tombs the burial place for the Buganda Kings, Namugongo Martyr’s Shrine, Bahai Temple the only one of its kind in Africa and the African craft market. dinner and overnight at Kampala Serena Hotel/Ministers Village Hotel/Hotel Rutch/Imperial Royale/Cassia Lodge.
Day 3, Depart for Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast at your Hotel in Kampala, you will set out with your driver guide and drive North West approximately 6 hours through the famous Luweero Triangle to Murchison Falls National Park. This is the largest park in Uganda and it occupies an area of about 3840 square kilometers. Stopover in Masindi for Lunch and after proceed to the park for the visit to the famous Top of the falls. This is the spot where the Nile river water forces its self in a narrow gap in a rock only 7 meters wide pouring into a gorge 43 meters down thus making a thunderous roaring sound. Proceed to your assigned accommodation facility for dinner and overnight stay at Paraa Safari Lodge/Red Chill campsite/Sambiya River Lodge.
Day 4, Game drive and launch cruise
After breakfast, you will take an early morning game drive in the northern Parts of the Park in such of animals such as the lion, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and a number of antelopes. Return to the lodge for Lunch and after you will go for the afternoon launch cruise on the Albert Nile to the foot of the mighty Murchison Falls with a great chance of seeing the Hippos, Crocodiles, Elephants and Buffaloes grazing and a lot of birdlife. Dinner and overnight stay at Paraa Safari Lodge/Red Chill campsite/Sambiya River Lodge
Day 5, Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will set out for your longest journey from Murchison falls to Kibale Forest National Park (9 hours drive). You will pass via Hoima for lunch and the journey will offer you with beautiful views of the true Ugandan local homesteads and culture. Reach Fort Portal in the evening and enter the park where you will go to your assigned place of accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Primates Lodge/Chimp Nest/Chimpanzee Guest House
Day 6, Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Swamp walk
After breakfast, you will report to the ranger station in Kibale Forest National Park at 8am for a briefing from the ranger guides. After this you will enter the forest to track the habituated chimps. In the forest there are a network of forest trails which provide much pleasure to botanists and butterfly lovers. The forest boosts a total 335 species recorded. After the tracking, you will return to the Lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will go for a walk in the Bigodi swamp area which will offer you with spectacular views of different bird species and hence a bird loving paradise for all birders. Day 7, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will depart for Queen Elizabeth national Park. The journey en route will offer you with beautiful scenic views of the great Mountains of the Moon also known as the Rwenzori Mountain. Also Queen Elizabeth boosts the highest biodiversity, dense swamps, beautiful crater lakes, open savannah and rain forest. As you enter the Park, you will have an en route game drive that will offer you with views of the different animal species like elephants, buffaloes, lion, leopards, giant forest hog, and hippos, among others. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge/Simba Safari Camp
Day 8, Game drive and Launch cruise
After breakfast, you will set out for the early morning game drive with a magnificent view of the Rwenzori Mountains as backdrop. This will provide you with excellent opportunities to see different wildlife animals such as lion, leopard, giant forest hog, cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi and bushbuck. Return to the Lodge for Lunch and in the afternoon; take the 2 hours Launch cruise on the Kazinga channel that connects Lakes Edward and George. This will offer you with opportunities to see large schools of Hippos and Crocodiles in water while elephants and buffaloes grazing on the banks of the channel as well as an array of birdlife such as the kingfishers, Egyptian fish eagle, saddle billed stork, among others. Day 9, Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi National Park via the Ishasha sector which is famous for its rare tree climbing lions in the whole of Uganda. You will have lunch at Ntungwe Ishasha Wilderness camp and later proceed to Bwindi National Park. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas/Wagtail Eco Safari Camp/Gorilla resort/Mahogany Springs
Day 10, Mountain Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi
Early morning after breakfast, you will go for the Gorilla briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority. You will be given a guideline booklet which you will go through and know how you have to behave while in the forest with or near the Gorillas. Bwindi Rain forest is so spectacular and it offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape which is incredibly dense, crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists to see the Gorillas. Besides Mountain Gorillas, other mammals in the forest include the rare golden monkey, buffaloes, elephants, black-fronted duiker, bushbuck, leopard, giant forest hog and a lot of bird species. You are reminded to take with you your packed Lunch and water because the time taken to see the Gorillas varies according to the movements of the Gorillas. The experience got from seeing the Gorillas is so exciting and unforgettable. Return back to your lodge for refreshments and so on. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas/Wagtail Eco Safari Camp/Gorilla resort/Mahogany Springs
Day 11, Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, you will leave Bwindi and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi which is found in Kabale region commonly referred to as the Switzerland of Africa. Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest lake in Uganda and situated close to the borders of Uganda and Rwanda. On a bright day you might see the magnificent volcano of Mount Muhavura. Upon arrival at the Lake, you will go for your assigned place of accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Habuharo Island camp/ Bunyonyi Overland camp / Bushara Island Camp/Arcadia Cottages
Day 12, Full day at Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, you will go for a full day birding activity on Lake Bunyonyi. You will get a hired canoe and travel around the surroundings from the water surface as you search for different bird species on the 37 Islands of the Lake. Return for lunch and then take on a bird walk in Mukoni Village. It is recorded that almost 40 to 50 different species may be seen on this walk, including the African Hobby, Scarlet-chested, Black Kite, Swamp Flycatcher, Bronze and Red-chested Sunbirds, White-headed Saw-wing etc. Return for dinner and over night at Habuharo Island camp/ Bunyonyi Overland camp / Bushara Island Camp/Arcadia Cottages
Day 13, Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, depart for Lake Mburo National Park. This scenic drive takes you through the Kigezi highlands or Kabale region commonly known as the Switzerland of Africa. You will reach Lake Mburo in the afternoon where you will have lunch and check into your lodge. In the evening, you will take a game drive in the open grasslands of the park which will offer you the opportunity to see animals like Elands, Zebras, waterbucks, Impala, Crested Crane and Buffaloes. Day 14, Nature walk and Boat ride on Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, you will take a Guided Nature Walk in Rubanga forest in one of the animal trail and this will reward you with views of animals like the Zebra, Eland, among others. Among the Antelopes, the African Eland is the largest and it is only at found in Lake Mburo National Park. Return back to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will go for the boat ride on Lake Mburo and expect to see a number of water loving animals and birds like the sitatunga, shoebill stork and Hippos. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge/Mantana Tented Camp/Rwonyo Campsite/Arcadia cottages
Day 15, Transfer back to Kampala and Departure
After breakfast, drive at leisure to Kampala with an en route Game drive as you exit the Park. Reach Kampala in the afternoon and continue to the Airport to connect with your departure flight back home
