A great daily tour from Kalkan, Patara, Kas to explore the most important places in Lycian Land. Day starts with a visit to Xanthos which was the capital city of Lycia and Its in Unesco's world heritage list since 1988. After visit this important city we ll visit the longest gorge in Turkey Saklikent Canyon and day ends on Patara Beach.
We start day visiting Xanthos, the first capital of the republic in the world and of the Lycian League. Our professional guide will give information about the history of freedom loving people in this Unesco World Heritage Site. There are extensive ruins to be explored, including an amphitheatre and basilica.
After exploring Xanthos, we will visit C.W.A and you can get information about how carpets weaving, and you can get information about history of traditional Turkısh carpets.
Then Our next stop is the Saklıkent Gorge; the second longest gorge in Europe. Al fresco lunch will be served by the water sound. Trekking through the cool water between the walls or fun rafting can be organised at the Saklikent Gorge.
Our last stop will be Patara Beach, which is the longest sandy beach in Europe. You can swim there, relax or you can explore the ancient settlement at Patara. This ancient city is also know ans birthplace of St.Nicholas. (Father Christmas)
