From sea-level to a bird’s eye view in just a few minutes – take the longest cable car ride in Europe and glide up to the top of Mount Tahtali in the Olympos mountain range for a breathtaking view of the Antalya coastline. Back at sea-level you’ll wander into a time of pirates and ancient Lycians as you discover the town of Phaselis once an important harbour town, now proudly displays it’s history for all to enjoy. See the arches of ancient shops, roman baths, water channels and Hadrians’ watergate to mention just a few.
The Tahtali Aerial Cableway is, at 4,350 metres in length, the longest of its kind in Europe, and the second longest in the world. You'll ascend over the Olympos-Beydağları National Park to the snow-capped summit of Mt. Tahtali, standing a staggering 2,365 metres above sea level. As well as getting some stunning views on the journey up, the summit station with its patios and viewing platforms provides 360 degree views over the surrounding area.
When you get back down to sea level, you'll discover the ruined ancient Lycian town of Phaselis. It was once an important port, constantly under threat from pirates. Today, you can see what remains of the shops and arches on the main street, as well as the ruins of Roman baths and the Hadrian Water Gate.
