The tour starts with a visit to the Izmir Museum of History and Art, located in Kültürpark (also known as the International Fair Park), and moves on to the Agora Museum, the commercial, political and religious centre of the town in ancient times.

Continues along Dario Moreno Street to the famous Asansör (meaning elevator), constructed in 1907 in order to provide local residents with easier access to the mansions located on top of the hill.

After enjoying an à la carte lunch, pass by the Clocktower, the iconic symbol of the town, before entering the historical market of Kemeraltı and the Hisar Mosque, the oldest and one of the most significant Ottoman landmarks of the town for an extensive guided tour. To make your experience even more authentic, you will then enjoy a Turkish coffee in a traditional caravanserai, Kızlarağası Han, which first opened in 1744.

The tour includes transfers, transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle, à la carte lunch and all entrance fees, service charges and taxes. Any personal expenses and drinks during lunch are not included.

Please note that museums are closed on Mondays. In the event of any museum closures, an alternative will be offered.

The itinerary involves a good deal of walking, so comfortable footwear is recommended.
