Ephesus&Pamukkale(Hierapolis) Overnight

No visit to Turkey would be complete without a visit to Ephesus, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world; couple this with a day at the spectacular thermal baths at Pammukkale and the the ruins of Hieropolis and you have a two day tour to remember.

After an early morning flight to Izmir (or an overnight bus to Kusadasi) we'll we'll head straight for Ephesus, set in the hills above the Aegean coast . A knowledgeable local guide will tell you all about the fascinating past of this impressive city, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Wander down marble-paved streets lined with fountains, temples and baths where mosaics and frescoes still decorate the walls of the ancient Roman houses. Then we will return to Kusadasi where you can check into your hotel and spend the evening relaxing before having dinner.

Early next morning we'll drive on to Pammukkale. Formed by calcium-filled springs pouring down a mountainside, its glacier-white ridges and pools look like something from the Arctic. You'll have time to relax as well as to explore nearby Hierapolis. This Roman city was constructed around the original springs and features an impressive amphitheatre. Then we will return to Izmir for the evening flight back to Istabul (or to Kusadasi for the overnight bus).

This two day tour includes return flights or bus tickets, hotel transfer, English speaking guides, half-board accommodation at a 4 star hotel in Kusadasi, lunch during tours and museum entrance fees. Please note that drinks are not included.
