Walk the marble-paved streets, admiring the temples and relics around you as your guide explains their history. Gaze at the spectacular Celsus Library. Dominating a square, this feat of ancient architecture had double walls to keep its scholars and 12,000 scrolls safe. Peep into crumpled shops and houses. And stroll along the column-lined Marble Street to the Great Theatre - a colossal 24,000-seat amphitheatre where St. Paul once preached. With your tour over, you’ll then round things off by visiting a ceramics shop where you’ll watch pottery being made and get the chance to snap up some souvenir pieces. It’s then back on the coach for Kusadasi.
