Byzantine and Ottoman Relics tour

Drive to the heart of the Old City - the Sultanahmet Square. After a short walk around the Hippodrome, the civic centre and the chariot races arena during the East Roman Period, a visit will be to the Blue Mosque, one of the master pieces of the Ottoman architecture. Next visit will be to the Hagia Sophia, one of the greatest master pieces of the Ottoman architecture, first built in 6th Century. Lunch will be served at a typical Turkish restaurant. The afternoon visits will be to the Topkapi Palace, the number-one attraction in Istanbul stands on Seraglio Point in Old Istanbul, known as Sultanahmet. The palace, which dates from the 15th century, was the residence of a number of sultans and their harems until the mid-19th century. Continue with Sultan Tombs, there are five tombs of Ottoman Sultans within the graveyard at Hagia sophia. The ceramic panels are the most beautiful examples of the 16th century with purple, red, green and blue flower motives. Prince robes and a small piece from the Kaaba covers are displayed on the sarcophaguses. Last visit goes for shopping possibilities to the famous Grand Covered Bazaar with about 4,000 shops and tiny cafés, believed to be the largest number under one roof anywhere in the world.
