Day 1: Izmir - Kusadasi
Start your 4-day tour with a transfer from either Izmir Airport or your Izmir hotel to your central Kusadasi hotel. After checking in, your guide will then leave you to enjoy Kusadasi independently. Recline on its beaches or perhaps check out its nightlife (own expense).

Day 2: Kusadasi - Ephesus (B, L)
Leave your hotel for your short minibus journey to Ephesus - an archeological site that's frequently described as the best-preserved Classical city in Europe. As you travel, hear about the city in its prime, when Ephesus was the capital of Roman Asia.
On a walking tour of the ancient city, you'll see all of Ephesus' highlights. Saunter down the Arcadian Way that once served as the city's main street, and see the Great Theater - a gigantic Hellenistic structure that once seated more than 25,000 people. See the Temple of Hadrian and visit the Library of Celsus where nearly 15,000 scrolls were once housed.
After a 2-course lunch in one of the town's restaurants, continue your tour. Visit the Basilica of St John that stands on the believed burial site of St John the Apostle, and then head to the House of the Virgin Mary, where Mary is said to have spent her last days. See one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Temple of Artemis, which served as a shrine to the Greek goddess. Return to your Kusadasi hotel and spend your evening at leisure in town.

Day 3: Kusadasi - Pamukkale and Hierapolis (B, L)
Savor a relaxing breakfast before leaving Kusadasi for a full-day trip to the archeological site of Pamukkale. Meaning 'cotton castle,' the UNESCO World Heritage Site consists of stunning white travertine rock terraces that cascade down 656-foot (200-meter) cliffs.
Walk around the naturally formed rocks while learning about their geology from your guide. Views from here are indescribable - see the white travertine terraces contrasting with the neighboring brown mountains, and then walk to Hierapolis, the ancient Greco-Roman city with grand ruins and geothermic bathing pools.
Enjoy time at leisure here, and be sure to bring your bathing suit as the pools are worth a dip (own expense). Meet your guide at a local café for lunch and then continue your tour. Gaze at its Classical ruins, such as the necropolis (Roman burial ground) and the huge Roman theater. See St Philippe Martyrion (also known as the Basilica of St Philippe) and learn about this important early Christian sanctuary before returning to Kusadasi. Your evening is spent at leisure.

Enjoy breakfast and then spend the morning at leisure in Kusadasi. Return to Izmir by minibus in the afternoon.
