If you’re passing through Bangkok then you should not miss this afternoon cruise, an ideal and relaxing way to get to know Bangkok. You will sail down small canals and backwaters, in a part of the district of Thon Buri on the River Chao Phraya where you will still be able to observe the local way of life, almost unchanged for hundreds of years. Afterwards for the return trip, we will board the Wan Fah, a traditional rice barge converted to carry passengers, while you enjoy soft drinks and fresh fruit. During the cruise you will get privileged views of some of Bangkok’s main sights and attractions, including Wat Arun (the Dawn Temple), one of the city’s principal Buddhist temples with its many towers decorated with Chinese porcelain. We will also visit the Grand Palace, a fascinating complex of buildings at the heart of Bangkok and the official residence of the Royal Family of Siam (and later Thailand) since 1782. The most important and sacred site in the Palace is the Wat Phra Kaew Temple housing the Emerald Buddha, carved in jade in the 15th Century and although only 45 cm high still the most valuable and venerated image of the Buddha in Thailand. Come on this relaxing river cruise and enjoy close up views of the temples and historical sites situated on the riverbanks. A different way to see the main points of interest nearby this great river.
