Half Day Hill Tribes, Elephant camp and Boat ride

Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Rai to the Chiang Rai river pier. We start off on a Long Tail boat for a 1 hour boat cruise along the Maekok River to “Baan Ruam Mitra”, a traditional Karen hill tribe village. Here we will enjoy a 30 minute elephant ride around the village and the surrounding area.  After this wonderful ride through the jungle, we visit a local Lahu Hill Tribe. It is believed that the Lahu originally came from the highlands of Tibet and that they, together with the Lisor and the Igor tribes, have a close connection with the Lolo tribe in the south of China. The unique Lahu culture and history make for an interesting and intriguing visit. Finally we visit some natural hot springs where guests can bathe in the soothing, natural spring waters. We then transfer you back to your hotel within Chiang Rai to complete the excursion.
