Leave your Chiang Mai hotel to view the ruins at Wiang Kum Kam and continue to Lamphun, which was once the seat of the Haripunjaya Kingdom. On the site of the former palace, dating back to the 9th century now stands the Wat Phra Thad Haripunjaya, where monks study in a large Buddhist School. Then make a stop at Amphur Pasang, approximately 12 km southwest of Lamphun, the centre for cotton weaving. Before your return, you will visit the peaceful White Karen Hill Tribe Village, which completes a day, filled with history and culture.
