Full Day Hike The Mountains Of Chiang Rai From Hotel In Chiang Rai City Only (TCEIT01)

Our first stop during this mountain hike will be at the Hilltribe museum, where you will view an exhibition on the tribal culture you will encounter during our trip. We continue to a Karen village where we will learn about the Karen and their daily life. Karen women are known for their long necks covered with rings. In fact, only a subgroup of Karen follows this tradition.

After our visit to the Karen tribe we continue along the Kok River. We cross the river and continue our journey with a visit to a Red Lahu and an Akha village. Your guide will tell you all about the culture of these tribes.

Our trek will then take us to the Huay Kaew Waterfall. In this very special spot we will enjoy our picnic lunch.

After lunch we will meet the Lisu people. Lisu women are famous for their colorful dress, they wear multicolour tunics with a wide black belt. Sleeves, shoulders and cuffs are decorated with colourful appliques. You will also learn about tea cultivation here and hike through the tea plantations. Our trek ends at a hot spring where our car will be waiting to bring us back to the hotel.

It is recommended to carry with you the following items: t-shirt and shorts for daytime, long sleeves/jacket during winter time (Nov - Feb), hiking shoes with good grip, flip flops, sun cream, headgear, insect repellent (DEET medicated), sun glasses, small backpack.
