Selous game reserve is largest wildlife sanctuary in Africa, all big 5 africa wildlife are seen here. Wildlife are found and live in natural habitat. This is real african safari destination for bush safaris and ecotourism. Further more, Selous Game Reserve is one of the largest wildlife reserves in the world, located in the south of Tanzania. The reserve covers a total area of 54,600 km sq and has additional buffer zones. Selous game reserve is recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage site due to its importance on wildlife conservation. Selous Game reserve has diverse wildlife species including birds, reptiles and mammals. In Selous game reserve large numbers of elephants, black rhinoceroses, cheetahs, giraffes, hippopotamuses and crocodiles.

Day 1: Derparture from Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve

Depart from your Hotel or Airport in Dar es Salaam city by 4 x 4 open roof safari vehicle to the Selous Game Reserve. It’s an enjoyable safari that will stop at the Rufiji River Camp for lunch. After lunch embark on an afternoon game drive in the reserve, and then return to Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive and Camera-friendly Tour

After breakfast in the morning start a full day game viewing in the reserve by participating in some classic – style game drives – exploring the bush in open 4x 4 vehicles. Due to the diversity of its wildlife and undisturbed nature day two will enable you to view waterbuck, southern reed buck, bushback, sable antelopes, lion, and greater kudu. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Camp.

Day 3: Walking and Boat Safaris and Photographic tour

After breakfast, start your walking safari guided by an armed ranger in the reserve. Enjoy the sights and sounds (and smells) of a walking safari that will live long in your memory. The thrill of creeping up to animals to “shoot” them with your camera is a great experience. In the afternoon after lunch, enjoy an amazing boat safari where you will explore the different channels and lakes of the Rufiji River System, surrounded by hippos and crocodiles. The day will be concluded by having your delicious meals and overnight stay at Camp.

Day 4: Selous to Dar es Salaam

Enjoy a morning game drive in the Selous Game Reserve. Early lunch at the camp then depart for Dar es Salaam. Drop off in the city center in your Hotel or at the Airport.
