Katavi National Park is a Tanzanian national park created in 1974 and is located in Katavi Region, Tanzania. Wildlife features include large animal herds, particularly of Cape Buffalo and elephant, plus along the Katuma river, crocodiles and hippos which upon annual dry seasons results in mudholes that can be packed with hundreds of hippos. Some sources claim a very high biodiversity in the park, although there are also reports of wildlife decline due to illegal hunting and poaching, presumably 'bushmeat' sustenance.

Day 1: Arusha - Katavi National Park

Day 2: Walking Safaris & Game Drives in Katavi National Park

After breakfast, Morning walking safari to explore the Katavi floodplain Lunch at the Lodge Afternoon game drive of Katavi National Park (activities can be re-routed; this can be discussed with the camp manager on your arrival. Dinner and overnight stay (B,L,D)

Day 3: Game Drives & Bush Lodge in Katavi National Park

After breakfast, morning and afternoon game drive of the park with Bush lunch Dinner and overnight stay (B,L,D)

Day 4: Katavi National Park - Arusha

After breakfast, morning at leisure Later transfer to the airstrip for shared chartered flight to Arusha via Mahale with picnic lunch (B,L)
