From Zermatt, you can arrive at the Sunnegga paradise (2,288 m. above sea level) in only 3 minutes with the underground funicular railway. From the spacious sun terrace of the restaurant, you can then enjoy a wonderful view of the Matterhorn. Gornergrat -With its viewing platform that can be reached throughout the year, the Gornergrat, at an altitude of 3,089 m above sea level, has been a big attraction for the last 111 years. Day 1: Zermatt
Arrive in Switzerland and make your way to Zermatt. This little town spectacularly situated at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn has everything to offer in the way of picturesque surroundings, spectacular skiing and a lively nightlife. It also has a vibrant village centre which is entirely car-free, with only electric taxis and horse drawn sleighs and streets packed with beautiful shops and boutiques. Overnight in Zermatt.
Day 2: Zermatt - Matterhorn Glacier Paradise
Today you discover Switzerland's most famous landmark the Matterhorn. The Matterhorn Glacier Paradise (3,883 metres above sea level) is the highest sightseeing point in Europe, which is accessible by cableway. The exciting tour from Zermatt to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise takes about 40 o minutes. Day 3: Interlaken
Make your way to Interlaken via Brig and Spiez. Interlaken, situated between the lakes of Thun and Brienz, is one of the oldest and most popular tourist resorts in Switzerland. Spend your time walking along the Hoheweg with its watch and jewellery boutiques or just marvel at the surrounding beauty of this place. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 4: Interlaken
You can spend the day taking an optional trip to Jungfraujoch or Schilthorn or discover the neighbouring towns like Grindelwald, Iseltwald or Wilderswil. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 5: Lucerne
Be ready for the breathtaking view whilst you travel in the GoldenPass Line from Interlaken to Lucerne – the city of lights and the gateway to Central Switzerland. Use the time to walk on the most famous and historic Chapel Bridge of Lucerne, visit the Transport Museum and its IMAX theatre and the Lion Monument. Overnight in Lucerne.
Day 6: Lucerne - Mt. Pilatus or Stanserhorn
Today you have the option of visiting one of Lucerne’s famous mountains. Mt. Pilatus with its famed Golden Round Trip and the steepest cogwheel train (from mid May to mid November) or Stanserhorn with its vintage train and the first ever open top double decker cable car. Overnight in Lucerne.
Day 7: Zurich
Take a 50 minute train ride and reach Zurich, the largest of Swiss cities situated on the northern shore of the lake that bears the same name. Zurich retains much of its 19th century charm even today. Once here, take the time to hop on to an optional Trolley tour which will take you through the city’s financial and shopping area, the most important museums, historical Limmatquai, St. Peter’s church with the largest clock-face in Europe. The tour also takes you to Grossmunster cathedral and the Fraumunster Church with its renowned Chagall painted glass windows. You can also simply stroll along the world famous Bahnhofstrasse or visit nearby Schaffhausen to view the majestic Rhine Falls. Overnight in Zurich.
Day 8: End of tour
This morning depart to a Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland on your own.
