Day 1:
Enjoy an unforgettable stay at the Queen of the Mountains! Not only tourists but especially the local people love this majestic mountain. The journey starts with a scenic drive through the beautiful countryside and along the Lake of the four Cantons to Weggis. Here you board the aerial cable car to Rigi Kaltbad where you change to Europe‘s first ever mountain railway up to Rigi-Kulm (6000ft / 1800m). You will be overwhelmed by the incredible panoramic view over the Swiss-Midland, the Alps and the 13 lakes around you! Hike one of the well prepared trails and enjoy the beauty of this unique scenery. In the afternoon check in at the recently renovated 3* superior Mountain Resort “Rigi Kaltbad”. Spoil yourself in the new Mineral Bath & Spa designed by famous Swiss architect Mario Botta. Dive into the revitalizing, mineral-rich waters (35°C) of the indoor and outdoor pools and enjoy the unforgettable, breathtaking mountain panorama. Further offers* are whirlpool, herbal sauna, steam bath and a spectacular crystal spa bath. In the evening culinary delights await you in the restaurant SunSet where a 4-course à la carte dinner is included. This day of numerous unforgettable impressions ends with a well-deserved quiet sleep in the tastefully furnished hotel room.

Day 2:  
For a good start to the day a rich breakfast buffet awaits you! Fancy a swim? The Mineral Bath opens exclusively for hotel guests at 9 am. Around mid-day you take the cog-wheel train down to Vitznau where you board the boat for a lovely one-hour cruise to Lucerne. Discover the charming Old Town and see the famous Chapel Bridge, the Jesuit Church, the Town-hall and the modern Culture and Convention Center designed by French architect Jean Nouvel. We also suggest a visit to the Swiss Museum of transport, the biggest museum in Switzerland or the Rosengart Museum with works of the famous artists Picasso and Paul Klee. Or just enjoy a stroll with nice shopping in the medieval streets before the journey back to Zurich. 
 The tour is accompanied by our professional, multi-lingual guide from Zürich to Weggis and from Lucerne to Zürich. The way up and down Mt. Rigi including the overnight stay and the boat ride to Lucerne are unguided. For this part you will receive detailed written information.
