A must see! On everyone’s holiday list. Our day excursion by open-top-bus will take you from Geneva to this famous mountain resort. Nestled at the foot of Mont-Blanc, Chamonix is a picturesque alpine town dominated by the surrounding mountains and glaciers rising majestically upwards to Mont Blanc at 4,810 metres.
Take the spectacular Aiguille du Midi cable-car up to 3842 metres – The highest cable-car in Europe – to the land of permanent snow and ice for stunning panoramas of the surrounding peaks and Mont Blanc.
Ride the Montenvers rack railway to the Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice) glacier and descend by gondola onto the glacier and explore the ice caves that are carved out into the heart of the ice.
Or, simply, explore this alpine town, which is full of character, and enjoy a two course lunch at our partner restaurant that holds a Michelin star.
Let us transport you there in the comfort of our state-of-the-art bus with retractable glass canopy which allows you to truly immerse yourself in the spectacular scenery of the Chamonix Valley.
Our bus departs at 08:15am from outside the Warwick Hotel in Geneva (opposite Cornavin Railway Station) and with a journey time of 90 minutes you will arrive in Chamonix before the crowds.
An audio guided tour commentary in 8 different languages is provided throughout the journey from Geneva as we travel along the picturesque Arve Valley. As we arrive in Chamonix we will continue your commentary as you discover the history, attractions, and stories of this famous mountain town.
The first half of your tour will end when we set you down conveniently at the Aiguille du Midi. From here you can directly access the cable car or take a short walk through town to ride the rack and pinion Montenvers train up to the Mer de Glace glacier.
After a fantastic day, the bus will then depart Chamonix at 16:30 and take you back to Geneva. On the way out of the valley your headphones will go live again and you will receive a guided tour of the North side of the valley to round off your visit.
This is a stunning day out for all the family! Don’t forget your camera!
