This tour is a mixture of culture, scenery and gastronomy but the main purpose of this trip is to show you some places completely off the beaten track and a little secret we have inAlicante: its wine.
Departing from different places (see pickup points and times below) we will travel by bus to a small rural village called la Algueña. On the way we can admire the scenery, a lovely countryside surrounded by vineyards, almond trees, mountains and the spectacular marble quarry better known in the area as the “waterfalls of the Vinalopó”.
We will stop at a local winery and have a taste of their local wines followed by a guided tour at the winery.
After trying these delicious Spanish “caldos”, we have some time to explore the village, its popular market (only on Sundays) and visit the local butchers where we could try and buy some of the best cured meats of the whole province!
Optional lunch (see note down below) at a local and hidden but very well known restaurant and return to the start point (travelling times depending on the town you depart; Algueña to/from Benidorm about 1.30h, to/from Alicante about 45min).
