The City of Arts and Science is definitely worth a visit. Stroll around the hip Carme neighbourhood. Admire the city's magnificent Cathedral and the neo-Gothic Silk exchange. You¡'ll find some fantastic fresh produce at the Central Market. This is a great to immerse yourself in the everyday life of the city. Admire some amazing modern and contemporary art at the Valencia Institute for Modern Art and don't miss the Torres de Quart, weather-beaten watchtowers dating back to the mediaeval period.
And if you're looking for some retail therapy then Valencia is definitely the place for you. The impressive Carrer Colom is the city's main shopping boulevard where you'll find a dazzling selection of all top international brands as well as a selection of smaller boutiques that have carved out a niche for themselves. The Corte Inglés department store is also well worth a visit. Stroll along elegant shopping boulevard or lose yourself in the maze of narrow streets with their many quirky and quaint shops. Then sit down at a pavement café and enjoy a freshly squeezed orange juice or a coffee.
