Touring: Morocco (5 days)

The short ferry crossing to Morocco is more than just a journey to another country or continent; it’s a voyage to another world as you will discover during this five-day, five-city tour.

The itinerary takes in the colourful cities of Casablanca, Marrakech, Fez, Meknes and Rabat Tangier, and some stunning landscapes in the open country during transit.

Once we’ve crossed the Straits of Gibraltar to Africa, we will head for Casablanca, where you will spend the first two days. There will a panoramic tour of the city made immortal by Hollywood.

We’ll depart on day three for Marrakech. The old town of the fabled Red City is a Unesco World Heritage Site and is bursting with activities and attractions. You will visit the Koutoubia mosque, whose minaret is a symbol of the city, the Saadian Tombs, the Jemaa el-Fnaa square and much, much more.

Then it’s on to the ancient city of Meknes, which also has Unesco World Heritage Medina packed with gems of intricate Arabesque architecture. Our visit will be capped off with a panoramic tour.

Day four sees us go to Fez, visiting the elaborately decorated royal palace, famed for its golden doors, the old Christian and Jewish quarters and the labyrinthine Medina. On day five, we will visit Rabat, the capital of Morocco, for a city tour before heading to the ferry for Spain.

The tour departs every Friday all year round, with accommodation provided in either three or four-star hotels. Included are guides, lodgings, transportation, daily breakfast, two lunches and two dinners.
