The Straits of Gibraltar are just 14km wide but the contrasts between Spain and Morocco are immeasurable as you will discover during this three-day tour of Morocco.
The itinerary takes in the vibrant and colourful cities of Rabat, Fez and Tangier but you will also pass through dramatic landscapes as the coach travels between the three.
Once we have made the ferry journey to Africa, we will head for Rabat, the capital of Morocco. A sightseeing tour will give you a taste of this large and historic city, where you will see top attractions such as the royal palace, the Mohamed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower.
The next day, following a journey through the rugged foothills of the Atlas Mountains, we will explore Fez, visiting its most intriguing attractions. You will be see the elaborately decorated royal palace, famed for its golden doors, the old Christian and Jewish quarters and the charmingly chaotic Medina, the labyrinthine old town where you will really feel the cultural differences with Europe.
On day three, we will drive to the lively city of Tangier, which was itself a part of Spain until 1956 and was even an English colony for 23 years in the 17th century. Tangier also boasts a fascinating Medina. From Tangier, you will return by ferry to Spain.
