Touring: Glimpse of the Mediterranean Capitals 4 days

Get a glimpse of the Mediterranean lifestyle in this four day tour of some of Spain's most important cities. This fully guided tour is an ideal introduction for anyone wishing to get to know this fascinating country. Explore Madrid, Spain's vibrant, cosmopolitan capital, the sophisticated port city of Valencia, fascinating Barcelona and the traditional delights of Zaragoza in this comprehensive tour.

After leaving Madrid we'll head south through the plains of La Mancha, heading for Valencia. This port city has been undergone extensive urban regeneration and there is plenty to see and do here. We'll go on a sightseeing tour and visit the ultra-modern City of Arts and Sciences, designed by local architect Santiago Calatrava. The city is also the home of the paella – you shouldn't leave here without trying one.

After spending the night here we'll drive up the Mediterranean coast towards the Barcelona. This beautiful city is now firmly on the map as one of the world's top urban destinations. We'll go on a panoramic sightseeing tour taking all of the city's landmarks including the Olympic Ring, Montjuic, the Port area and the old Gothic Quarter. You'll also have time to admire some of visionary architect Antoni Gaudi's masterpieces including the magnificent unfinished Basilica of La Sagrada Familia, the beautifully landscaped gardens at the Parc Guell and La Pedrera and Casa Batlló, his surreal apartment blocks on the Passeig de Gracia.

The following morning we'll drive through the parched plains of Aragon, heading up the valley of the Ebro towards Zaragoza. There's plenty to see in this beautiful city that was first founded by the Romans. We'll visit the famous Basilica del Pilar, La Seo Cathedral and the Moorish Palace of Aljaferia before heading back to Madrid in the early evening.
