DESCRIPTION:
Snorkelling is swimming with a diving mask and a tube called a snorkel.
Medaqua provides wetsuits for protection from the cold, and monitors (1 monitor for each group of 8) to guide the snorkellers around the most interesting corners of the Medes Islands. We are privileged to be able to snorkel in these waters which, after 10 years as a protected zone, are like an aquarium containing a surprisingly rich and varied amount of marine species. White sea bream, saddle bream, rainbow wrasse, peacock wrasse, starfish, damselfish, mullet, gilthead bream, grouper and many other types of fish can be observed on these extraordinary snorkelling trips.
Before setting off, participants will watch an audiovisual introduction to shallow-water marine flora and fauna. A waterproof fact file will be provided to facilitate identification of the different species.
