Secrets of La Geria - Crazy Camels (Transfers included)

Join us for an adventure with a difference, as you explore the dramatic volcanic landscapes of Lanzarote from the back of a camel, the animal traditionally used by the local inhabitants of the island for transport due to the difficult terrain and harsh climate of the island. We'll stop at a local vineyard for you to see how wine and made and sample some of the wine. A percentage of the price goes towards a local sustainability project so you know you are giving back something to the environment too.

After meeting your mount it'll be laugh a minute as we climb through a desolate landscape of rusty red craters and volcanic peaks. We're heading for La Geria, an award-winning wine growing area. You’ll see the cute emerald green vines growing in their own individual beds, protected from the harsh sun and fierce winds by dry stone walls made of the local volcanic rock.

We'll pay a visit to El Grifo, the island's oldest bodega, built on top of a field of solidified lava that spilled out during a volcanic eruption back in the 18th Century. You'll learn all about local wines and have a chance to sample some of the finest. This is a sustainable excursion so part of your ticket price will be donated to the local Preserve La Geria project. This excursion is also great for kids as they get to take part in a project where they learn how to make different things from natural projects. A unique experience for all the family!
