Traveling to the east of the Galicia region, you'll visit the lovely fishing town of Noia, known for its Romanesque churches Santa Maria a Nova, San Martino and San Francisco. Then cross the 14th-century Pontenafonso Bridge to arrive at Muros, a typical fishing town set on a bay.
The tour continues to Carnota, home to Galicia's longest beach and largest stone granary. Enjoy a three-course lunch featuring local produce, before heading to the small town of Finisterre, on the Nerium promontory. You’ll have time to admire the port and beach, and visit the 12th-century Romanesque church known as Christ of the Golden Beard.
At Cape Finisterre, admire impressive views over the Atlantic Ocean from the lighthouse as your guide tells of the tragic stories of shipwrecks along this rocky and dangerous Coast of the Death.
On the scenic drive back to Santiago de Compostela, you’ll see beautiful villages clinging precariously to the high mountains that run down to the sea, and fishing towns clustering around estuaries along the coast, sheltered from the winter storms by cliffs and mountains.
