Roman and Mystical Catalonia-2 days

Come and discover the historical heritage of Catalonia in this two day tour. Visit sophisticated beach resorts, the splendid Roman ruins at Tarragona and the mediaeval Cistercian Abbey of Santes Creus as well as the sophisticated beach resort of Sitges. Your knowledgeable local guide will provide you with a wealth of fascinating information about the different attractions as you travel in the comfort of a luxury air-conditioned bus.

First stop is the romantic coastal resort town of Sitges. Explore the charming old town with its many quirky boutiques and lively bars and restaurants. Discover the town's seventeen sandy and enjoy the balmy micro-climate with over 300 days' sunshine a year. Then after lunch it's time to move on to Tarragona.

Tarragona, or Tarraco as it was known to the Romans is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. Your guide will escort you around the impressive ruins including the walls of the old city, the amphitheatre and the forum. The town's fascinating archaeological museum is also well worth a visit. We'll spend the night here and the following morning you'll have plenty of time to explore at your own pace. The next stop is the old Cistercian Abbey at Santes Creus. After a traditional lunch in a local restaurant we'll make a stop at Bodegues Torres. We'll tour this renowned winery and try some of its fine wines.

This two day tour includes the services of a knowledgeable local guide throughout, travel by luxury air-conditioned bus,one night's accommodation with dinner and breakfast.
