Montserrat and Barcelona Artistic full day

Do not miss this opportunity to visit the Basilica of Montserrat in the morning and Artistic Barcelona and its most important monuments in the afternoon in this combined tour. First we’ll drive through picturesque towns towards the incomparable setting of the mountains of Montserrat, rising majestically to 1235 metres above sea level. Montserrat is a unique natural park containing one of the country's most important museums and the shrine of the patron saint of Catalonia. You'll visit the Royal Basilica, housing the Moreneta or Black Madonna, a 12th Century Romanesque carving. The Basilica has been one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Spain for centuries. After the tour, we will return by bus to Barcelona after some time for rest (lunch is not included). In the afternoon we will discover the fabulous architectural work of architectural genius Antoni Gaudí. Accompanied by a guide, you will first have the opportunity to admire some of his most famous creations, including Casa Mila and Casa Batlló on the Passeig de Gràcia before we visit the Parc Güell, beautiful gardens where architecture integrates seamlessly into nature. Next stop is the Cathedral of the Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's unfinished masterpiece and iconic landmark of the city. Finally, you will visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Mar, the only major completely finished Catalan Gothic Church. The tour ends near the Picasso Museum, which displays works of the famous painter from his Blue and Pink periods (entrance fee not included).
