Head off the beaten track to towns that have barely been touched by the sands of time. ˂br˃˂br˃ This action-packed excursion will pass the native hamlets of Santa Anita, Miraflores and Santiago on the way to the fishing villages of Los Barriles and Buena Vista, which are both famed for their stunning views. There will be a visit a viewing platform, so don’t forget your camera. ˂br˃˂br˃ The first stop will be at San Bartolo, the site of a natural oasis, where a morning snack can be enjoyed.˂br˃˂br˃ From there it will be on to San Antonio and El Triunfo, two picturesque former mining towns nestling in dramatic landscapes.˂br˃˂br˃ The next stop will be at La Paz, where we will visit a weaving factory before settling down for a traditional Mexican lunch. A walking tour of the town will bring us to its pristine beaches, the colonial-era mission and the local anthropology museum as well as allowing some free time for shopping.˂br˃˂br˃ We will then head to Todos Santos for a quick refreshment at the legendary Hotel California, which many fans believe to have been the inspiration for the famous song by The Eagles. Todos Santos is the only ‘pueblo magico’ in Baja California. These are towns that have a certain level of preservation, historical significance or cultural activities. ˂br˃˂br˃ The journey home will be along the Highway 19, which boasts fabulous ocean views and, during winter months, spectacular sunsets.˂br˃˂br˃ The tour lasts approximately 10 hours, with hotel collections starting from 6.45am.
