Gibraltar Sightseeing (full day)

On this full day excursion from the Costa del Sol we'll cross the border into the British enclave of Gibraltar where you can see British bobbies, spend UK currency and enjoy some great shopping. Enjoy a guided tour of the town and Punta Europa, followed by a minibus tour of the famous Rock of Gibraltar itself where you can enjoy some amazing views over the Spanish and Moroccan coastlines.
br /> The excursion includes a city tour in the company of a knowledgeable local guide, a visit to the Rock of Gibraltar, and Saint Michael's Cave, a impressive natural grotto used by the Neolithic inhabitants of the Rock and Europa Point where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, with impressive views over the Straits of Gibraltar over to Africa. Then on the Upper Rock, you’ll get to meet the locals, a mischievous troupe of Barbary macaque monkeys. It is said that while these apes remain the British will not leave Gibraltar Keep your eye on your belongings though – they can be rather light-handed.
br /> Then coming down from the Rock you'll have plenty time for some shopping on Main Street where you can find everything from UK High Street chain stores to the latest designer brands to quirky handicrafts and tacky souvenir shops. You'll also find plenty of duty free shops selling cigarettes, spirits, gold jewellery, watches and perfumes. Then its time to board the coach for the evening drive back to the Coasta del Sol along the coast road.
br /> Meeting/ Pick up point: Avenida de Andalucía corner with Armengual de la Mota street, in front of El Corte Inglés, at the bus stop located in front of Barclays Bank. Approximately 11 hours.
Start or opening time: The tour is available daily except on Sundays. The departure time from Málaga is at 08:00am.
