Barcelona is one of the most beautiful and vibrant cities. This full day tour of Barcelona combines the old and modern. You'll see how history and tradition go hand in hand with emerging fashion and new trends in fashion, cuisine, architecture and art.
Explore the city through the eyes of visionary artists Gaudi and Picasso. Tour the maze of mediaeval streets in the Barri Gotic, stroll around the modern Olympic Port and climb the lush Montjuic Mountain with its impressive sports complexes as you learn about the transformation of this great Mediterranean metropolis.

The tour starts near the city's impressive Gothic Cathedral with its famous cloister. We'll explore the maze of narrow streets around the Plaça Sant Jaume and then we'll visit the new port area. Your guide will explain how the 92 Olympics invigorated the city both socially and economically, opening it up to the waterfront.
Next we'll climb to the mountain of Montjuic, the site of the Olympic Ring, an impressive complex of sports facilities comprising the Lluis Companys Stadium, the Palau Sant Jordi and the Calatrava Tower.

Next we'll head down to the Poble Espanyol (Spanish Village) with its charming collection of replica buildings and plazas from all over Spain. Here you will also find a wide selection of arts and crafts shops selling all sorts of both modern and traditional wares. You will even be able to see the crafts people at work.
After sampling some local cava, we'll climb back to Montjuic by cable car, enjoying stunning views over the city and port as we go.

In the afternoon we'll visit some of this great city's most important artistic landmarks. We'll start on the Passeig de Gracia with Gaudi's amazing creations, Casa Mila and Casa Batllo.
