Live and breathe the real Mallorca with a day trip taking in vibrant rural markets and the stunning scenery of the Serra de Tramuntana and Formentor, on the extreme north of the island.
Visit one of Mallorca’s most famous and largest markets, and browse the stalls replete with tasty local delicacies and traditional handicrafts, including the island’s famed leather goods. You can haggle with the stallholders in a bid to get a better price or bide your time before making that special purchase to bring back home.
Cross the island to Pollença, a picture-postcard medieval town close to important Roman archaeological remains. See the picturesque port before beginning your Formentor adventure. Admire the beautiful beach, considered one of the finest in the island. Take a break for lunch (not included) before meeting up again to explore this rugged and scenic area. Formentor has some of the most dramatic landscapes in Mallorca, a beauty that is enhanced by the crystalline turquoise waters that lap it.
Enjoy a stunning drive along the Serra de Tramuntana, with spectacular panoramic views of the cliffs and sea. This Unesco World heritage Site is the pride of Mallorca and boasts a series of imposing peaks (which in winter are covered in snow) and highland lakes as well as dense forests, punctured by the odd hardy hamlet.
